What is Conversion Rate?
A conversion rate is a ratio of the number of conversions to the total number of contacts.
Conversion rates is a percentage, such as 0.25%.
It is the percentage of visitors that turn into customers.
It's calculated by taking website traffic and dividing it by total sales on a site or through transactions.
Conversion rate doesn't just include purchases; it also includes any other conversion actions, such as newsletter signups, content downloads, contact form submissions, user registration forms submitted.
How to Calculate Conversion Rate?
Conversion rates are calculated by simply taking the number of conversions and dividing that by the total interactions.
For example, if your website has 70 conversions per 1000 visitors, then your Conversion Rate is 70/1000 = 7%.
