This can include advertising, branding and public relations efforts to name just a few.
A sales budget is typically based on expected revenue projections or what the company wants to achieve in terms of market share.
If Company X has an annual revenue projection of $500 million but only expects to spend $100 million on marketing over that same year, then their anticipated sales budget would be 20%.
