Sales funnel is a process that shows the journey of how a prospect becomes a customer.
Stages of Sales Funnel
The typical sales funnel includes four key steps: awareness, interest, evaluation and purchase decision.
Awareness occurs when prospects are exposed to your company or product for the first time through advertisements and PR campaigns.
Interest starts kicking in once they’ve heard about what you offer, like features and benefits as well as pricing models (fixed vs variable).
Evaluation happens after customers have gathered information on their own from promotional materials such as brochures or presentations; at this point they start comparing offers against each other so that one can be selected for purchase.
Finally, if an individual makes it all the way down into the bottom bucket called Purchase Decision – congratulations! You now have a sale !
